Web site designers can have quite a time of it designing sites for different monitors, different browsers, different screen resolutions, etc. because each of these can affect the way your Web site looks to your visitors. It is still bordering on impossible to cater for all the potentially different options your visitors may have chosen in soft and hardware when creating your Web site.

Here are the latest stats on what screen resolution users are using.

The results below are compiled from MyComputer.com's Websnapshot. They aggregate information from over 100,000 Web sites and provide Internet trend data.

Monitorgröße Anteil
800x600 47,9%
1024x768 21,6%
Diverse 16,1%
640x480 10,0%
1280x1024 2,5%
1152x864 1,9%

There is a general feeling that many people are still using 15" monitors, or even less to view Web sites.
